The comedian

Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A representative for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of reports of questionable actions involving women.

The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
