However the latest Battlefield is hoping to shift that dynamic.

Here comes the latest entry in a established combat FPS line commonly described as a grittier response to Call of Duty.

The franchise has not quite been able to equal its best-known rival in aspects of revenue or gamers, but indicators suggest the latest version could reduce the distance.

An early access weekend giving players a chance to try out the release not long ago achieved milestones, and the excitement leading up to its launch has been immense.

Yet the project is still a major venture for company its creators, which has reportedly spent huge sums of dollars developing it.

Building On Past Mistakes

The game arrives after the back of the futuristic the previous game, released previously to a poor feedback it found it hard to recover from.

"We probably couldn't build and design this new game absent the insights we acquired in the last release," Rebecka shares with our team.

A key those takeaways was to engage players engaged early, and the developers initiated invite-only fan trials not long ago.

Their "response was extremely favorable," comments she.

Another absent component from the previous installment was a story mode, which has been brought back for this release.

Criterion design director Fas Salim is the one tasked with "making sure those missions are as enjoyable and compelling as feasible for the audience."

Despite claims that the scale of the project had challenged the various teams working together internationally to develop the game, Fas is positive about the process.

"Working with diverse cultures, distinct experiences, it's a very fascinating setting to be involved in every day," he shares.

"This entire strategy has been a fresh take but something really exciting because we are working with team members from all over the world."

As for the anticipation on the developers, Fas comments: "We experience pressure but also it's exciting.

"This is a large venture. It's likely the biggest that most of us have ever been involved in."
