Britain's Emma Raducanu has pulled out of her remaining competitions of the year because of a medical condition that has affected her in recent days.

These plans are set to feature her coach Francisco Roig, as they have agreed to work together again next season.

Raducanu had her blood pressure taken during her first-round match against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

She again required medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.

She was also playing with clear difficulty in the deciding set versus Zhu because of a lower back issue that has troubled her on several occasions in 2025.

These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which Raducanu rose into the international top 30 for the first time for the first time since 2022, concluded with three straight losses.

She held three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in the third stage in the Beijing tournament last month.

She secured twenty-eight matches in the current season and made it to the semi-final round in the Washington tournament, but the highlight of her season was at March's Miami Open.

The British number one reached the quarter-finals of this WTA 1000 tournament, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed en route then falling in a three-set match to the world number four Pegula.

She was coached by Mark Petchey as coach between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The first plan with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was until the end of the season but the collaboration persists, with a training session scheduled for the end of the year.

The athlete revealed that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She came very close to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati during August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round prior to losing to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
